What is an algorithm change?

First of all, let's start by discussing the Google algorithm. It's immensely complicated and continues to get more complicated as Google tries its best to provide searchers with the information that they need.

Three of the biggest changes that have happened in the last few years are the Panda algorithm, the Penguin algorithm and Hummingbird.

1. Panda algorithm

Panda first launched on February 23, 2011. It was a big deal. The purpose of Panda was to try to show high-quality sites higher in search results and demote sites that may be of lower quality.

2. Penguin algorithm

The Penguin algorithm initially rolled out on April 24, 2012. The goal of Penguin is to reduce the trust that Google has in sites that have cheated by creating unnatural backlinks in order to gain an advantage in the Google results.

3. Hummingbird algorithm

Google made their announcement about Hummingbird on September 26, 2013. Hummingbird is able to discern that by "place" the user likely would be interested in results that show "restaurants".

1 – What do you know about SEO ? Please define it ?

Answer – SEO means search engine optimization and it is the process of improving rank of our web pages higher in search engines for given search terms or keywords.

2 – How you will divide this task or how many types of this?

Answer – It is of two types mainly.
A – On page optimization
B – Off page optimization or link building or back links creation

3 – What are the seo activities lists you will do if i give you new website for optimization?

Answer – I will perform all the must have activities like:
A – Keyword research to find search term with low competition and high traffic keywords.
B – On page optimization of our found on our web pages to make them search friendly.
C – I will create quality back links or link building for off page optimization.
D – I will do social media optimization to improve social signals and getting social media traffic.

4 – How you will start keyword research? which tool you would use for doing it ?

Answer – I will use Google webmaster tool first for keyword research and use filter available in the tool as per the need like choosing country or finding negative keywords etc.

5 – Please tell me must to do on page optimization activities in websites?

Answer – There are so many on page activities which you should use.
A – Apply keyword in Meta title and description and title of the page.
B – Use keyword in H1 / H2 tags and highlight it using Bold / Italic / Underlined.


6 – Which are the trending link building techniques you will follow?

Answer – I will do social bookmarking, guest posting, blog commenting, profile link creation, PDF document sharing files and classified ad posting also.

7 – How you will check the quality of back links which you will create?

Answer – I will check the domain / page authority, relativity and do follow or no follow and the anchor text used for creating it.

8 – Difference between do follow and no follow links? which one is necessary?

Answer – Do follow means when link juice passes and no follow means when link juice doesn’t pass. Both are necessary for doing natural link building.

9 – How to check penalized or banned websites ?

Answer – When we search the name of website without www. or extension like .com or any other then if website appears in search then its not penalized nor banned and if we don’t find it then it may be penalized or banned.

10 – How you will save your client’s websites from penalization or to be banned?

Answer – I will avoid any kind of over optimization or black hat seo or unnatural methods for creating back links.

11 – How you will save your website from harmful back links?

Answer – I will use Disavow tool to request Google to not consider any back links from penalized or banned websites.


12 – What are some external but important factors which affects ranking?

Answer – These factors are bounce rate, page views per visit, time spent on the site and returning visitors.

13 – What are the signs of overall good performance of website which search engine loves?

Answers – returning visitors, good conversion rate and click through rate and socially share or not.

14 – What content strategy you will apply to add more quality in your website?

Answers – Content must have quality information, good structured and properly inter linked from related pages and use of eye catching images for grabbing attention.

15 – How you will observe to find problem why website is not ranking?

Answer – I will check any kind of over optimization like over use of same anchor text, so many backlinks from penalized websites or same type of link building method every time or too many back links in less time etc.

Answer –

B – SEM – When we buy paid traffic or paid listing in any search engine.
